Keilir golf course is a links golf course in Hafnarfjordur town, a mere 15 minute drive from downtown Reykjavik.

 

There is a vast difference between the front nine and the back nine. The front nine is surrounded by lava, while the back nine is placed on a small peninsula at the entrance to the town´s harbour, with spectacular views to the Snaefellsjokull glacier. Keilir golf course is about skill and accuracy over power and distance, particularly when taking on the lava field in the front nine.

 

Golf Digest rates the Keilir golf course as the best in Iceland as does World Golf Awards.
